In Feb 2012, we managed to crowd source 51lakh to make this movie. Many said it would be impossible to make a feature length movie in this budget, but with meticulous planning and with a lot of help from the audience, we are able to make this film within this budget. But we have no budgets left with us to do a theatrical release of this film. And hence we have started this process of Pre-order to raise funds for the same.

2.5 Crores
This is the dream release of Lucia. This will make the entire country stand up and take notice. We can take over theaters occupied by all other language films. Get our Ads on to front pages of all News papers. There are many more, scroll down to find the list. Well, if we make this happen, then there is no stopping to Audience films. And there is nothing that the new talents if Kannada have to fear. We can create opportunities for our talented people.
25 Lakh
With this we will be able to do a multiplex release with very basic publicity. It is impossible to release it in towns or in single screens. This could be the last option but not something that we should settle for.
50 Lakh
Decent release. We can attempt to release it in 4-5 single screens in Bangalore, multiplexes and very few theaters in some major towns. A lil bit of everything in terms of publicity. If the film is able to do good business in the first week then it can sustain itself in the subsequent weeks otherwise that would be the end of it!
1 Crore
This is a GOOD Publicity budget. Especially for a film like Lucia. We can reach out up to 75+ theaters across the state with an effective publicity plan. This will make some noise about Audience Films. This is what we must keep as our realistic target. I think Lucia and Audience Films deserves this sort of an exposure.
1.5 Crore
Ideally, other languages spend 4 times the filmmaking budget on Publicity. This has never been attempted in Kannada. But this is what we need to do. If we have to fight the over shadowing of other language films, just making good films won't be enough, we have to be able to market as much as they do.
Auditions for Actors
As I had promised earlier, the movie Lucia was going to give an opportunity to all the new talent to be part of the film. So we started auditioning for actors. Around 250 actors went through the auditions.
